Summary

NTR™ provides a "jump start" into lasting Recovery IF the other components of the disease of addiction- emotional and spiritual- are also addressed concomitantly through rehab treatment, 12 Steps - or other support group participation, and often times, therapy. Education about the disease of addiction and how to avoid relapse- is critical if the addict wishes to remains sober. This is what “rehab” is all about. Other means besides 12-Steps approaches exist, and can be successful..

NTR™ is best viewed as a powerful medical tool that dramatically speeds up the brain's return to a more normal state after months or years of drug use (including alcohol). Chronic drug use leads to adaptation of the brain tissues and synapses, resulting in physiologic "tolerance" and other changes that render it markedly less functional. Cessation of drug use results in "withdrawal", a period of time where the brain is in chaos, does not work normally, and when the addict feels terrible. Without NTR™, this period of natural repair of the drug-altered brain takes weeks, months, even years. In some cases, irreparable damage remains. NTR™ speeds up the repair process tremendously; to a period of about 10 days.

With NTR™, significant improvements are seen within 4-5 days. The entire initial NTR™ process typically takes 10 full days in sequence. Periodic “booster” treatments are often very helpful in coming months and years to reinforce the initial NTR™ treatment.

In a sense, NTR™ replaces the traditional “detox” phase of rehab treatment, but goes far beyond simply getting drugs safely and more comfortably out of the brain. Just as a computer requires well-tuned and well-functioning hardware to work most effectively with software programs, the brain of the addict MUST be at top condition in order for the emotional and spiritual aspects of treatment to work.
